The third volume in the open access book series Ocean Literacy: The Foundation for the Success of the Ocean Decade is out now. Volume III: Accelerating Communication, Technology, and Global Initiatives explores how innovation in communication, technology, education, and policy is advancing Ocean Literacy during the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030). Emphasising Ocean Decade Challenge 10, Restoring society’s relationship with the Ocean, the volume highlights how strategic communication, digital innovation, and inclusive education can strengthen public engagement with the Ocean and contribute to a more sustainable and interconnected global society.

Heritage for an Oceanic Culture: The Essential Role of the Past in Ocean Literacy
