Regional Arctic Ocean Decade Workshop
POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) presents a once-in a life time opportunity to deliver scientific knowledge and ensure that ocean science can fully support countries’ actions to sustainably manage the ocean and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Regional Arctic Ocean Decade Workshop held in Copenhagen (Denmark) 29 April – 1 May is part of a global consultation process in the preparation of the UN Decade, where the focus is the Arctic. It offers an opportunity to discuss, prioritize and formulate proposals for Arctic initiatives to be framed under the Decade. The workshop is hosted by the Danish Center for Marine Research in collaboration with UNESCO’s IOC.
