The 2nd Global Planning Meeting celebrates the culmination of a two-year process engaging thousands of stakeholders across science, policy, business, and civil society, working together in building new transformative, science-based actions in support of the Agenda 2030.

This Forum will gather approximately 150 key ocean leaders, champions and stakeholders from all actors, regions and generations. A combination of plenaries and break-out groups will facilitate international, interdisciplinary discussions across sectors and stakeholders with a focus on delivering the Decade six societal outcomes through action-oriented partnerships and cooperation. Participants will shape the enabling environment required for a successful launch and implementation of the Decade, starting with the Decade’s contribution to the forthcoming 2nd UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon.
