We are very pleased to announce that ODHN’s UN Ocean Decade-endorsed Action, the Cultural Heritage Framework Programme, has received a grant from Lloyd’s Register Foundation (UK). This long-term support will enable the CHFP to increase its capacity over the next four years: in personnel, activities, outreach, and support for other UN Ocean Decade Actions, Programmes, Projects, and Activities. We also look forward to partnering with LRF’s new initiative, Learning From the Past: Ocean Stewardship, focusing on international collaboration on the SDGs and the work of the UN Ocean Decade.

Additionally, CHFP will collaborate with LRF’s Heritage & Education Centre on several future endeavors. We look forward to updating ODHN’s growing membership and other stakeholders on the changes this will bring to the network in the next month.

LRF’s support was formally announced by LRF and ODHN at the International Congress of Maritime Museums 2022 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, on September 13, 2022.
