Marking World Oceans Day through Ocean Heritage: A #SundayRead Round-Up

Happy World Oceans Day!

As we mark World Oceans Day this year, the Ocean Decade Heritage Network is proud to highlight recent publications from our network that reflect the growing recognition of marine cultural heritage as essential to achieving a sustainable ocean future.

Together, these works explore critical intersections between culture, heritage, equity, ocean science, and policy, advancing the goals of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030).

From edited volumes on threats to underwater heritage and the development of regional frameworks, to articles integrating Indigenous knowledge and community-led perspectives, this round-up of recent work from ODHN-affiliated researchers showcases the depth and diversity of contributions from across our global network.
