The UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT is the world’s leading cultural policy conference. The 2025 edition will bring thousands of participants to Barcelona to shape the global cultural agenda for the years to come.

Organised by UNESCO and hosted by the Government of Spain, the conference brings together ministers from UNESCO’s 194 Member States alongside policymakers, cultural leaders and civil society. It provides a unique forum to take stock of progress since the historic MONDIACULT Declaration, which defined a set of cultural rights to be safeguarded and secured culture’s place on international agendas including the G20, G7 and G77+China.

As the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda nears its conclusion, MONDIACULT 2025 represents a pivotal moment. It will build momentum towards recognising culture as a stand-alone goal in the post-2030 development agenda, reinforcing its role at the heart of sustainable development worldwide.

MONDIACULT 2025 will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2025 at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB), Spain. The programme includes intergovernmental plenary sessions, thematic debates, side events and exhibitions. For more information, visit UNESCO – MONDIACULT 2025.
