
The 30th International Association for Caribbean Archaeology (IACA) Congress

The Congress of the I.A.C.A. is held every other year, normally in the last week in July, and is the primary venue for the presentation of recent archaeological work in the Caribbean. Typically papers are presented for 4-5 days and the conference concludes with an optional day-long field trip. Symposia have included such subjects as Preceramic Age, Ceramic Age, Historical Archaeology, Prehistoric Technology, Interaction, Adaptation and Movement, Physical Anthropology, Rock Art, Underwater Archaeology etc.
The congresses are tri-lingual (English, French and Spanish) with simultaneous translation provided.
The next Congress will be held on Nevis in 2024.
