The 6th Asia-Pacific Conference on Maritime and Underwater Cultural Heritage (APCONF6) will be held in Bali, Indonesia under the theme Traditions and Trajectories: Maritime Heritage and Blue Economies in Asia-Pacific. The conference will take place 26–31 October 2026.

Organised by the Agency for Marine and Fisheries Extension and Human Resources Development, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the APCONF6 Scientific Organising Committee, the conference serves as a leading regional forum for advancing knowledge and innovation in maritime and underwater cultural heritage.

Following the success of APCONF5 in Gwangju, Korea (2023), APCONF6 will bring together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and community stakeholders from Asia-Pacific and across the globe to explore the field’s latest developments, with particular attention to its contribution to a sustainable Blue Economy.

Call for Sessions

The APCONF6 organising team welcomes session proposals from academics, heritage professionals, and practitioners.
To propose a session, please submit your application by 15 July 2025. More information can be found on the conference website.
